A member of the coral fungi group, named for their resemblance to marine coral. Ramaria are apart of this group with about 40 species found in BC. They are often referred to as Ramaria sp. (sp. abbreviated from species) due to the need for a microscope/chemicals for correct identification. They are mycorrhizal, found growing near trees that they have symbiotic relationships with.

Original paintings may have slight marks on the paper outside of the painted image. I do my best to keep them clean while working and only select the pieces that are white clean. A minimal mark from an eraser is sometimes visible.
