Trumpet-cup Lichen - Cladonia fimbriata are one of many Caledonia species found in western Canada. They are referred to as lichen forming fungi, a colony of algae or cyanobacteria growing symbiotically along the filaments of fungi. They grow on thin soil and decaying logs in both deciduous and coniferous forests. This species forms cupped scyphi commonly referred to as pixie-cups.

Original paintings may have slight marks on the paper outside of the painted image. I do my best to keep them clean while working and only select the pieces that are white clean. A minimal mark from an eraser is sometimes visible.
