Yellow Lady Slipper orchids grow in full clumps throughout North America in wet and dry areas. Each stem produces one or two large flowers whose petals and sepals range in colour from yellow to green and sometimes dark brown. The orchid does not produce nectar but their flowers attract and trap pollinating insects into climbing inside the orchid’s slipper pouch, pollinating the flower In the process.
