Learn to carve a relief style pumpkin! This carving technique doesn’t cut all the way through the pumpkin, instead you only carve the top layer of the pumpkin, allows the light to shine through.

This pumpkin pattern is best suited for teen or adult carvers with patience for fine detail. Preparation and carving takes approximately 4 hours and can be spread over a couple days if you have a cool place to store the pumpkin between carving. I recommend carving the pumpkin the week of Halloween.
