Saskatoon Berry, Amelanchier alnifolia are a deciduous shrub that is common in western Canada. They bear clusters of dark blue berries that resemble blueberries. The fruit of despite its berry like resemblance the fruit of these plants is called pomes and is more closely related to an apple.
